Would anyone, by chance, have an exploded parts diagram for the Lyman 450. One of mine is in need of repair. All the necessary parts appear to be available from Lyman but I need a drawing with their index #s/nomenclature to be certain.

Thanks, guys.

I have the manual at home that has the exploded view and parts list. If someone hasnt posted before I get home, I will gladly scan it in and post it on my photobucket and link it here for you.

Thanks guys for the quick response but neither of my 450s match the diagram. Handle linkage is completely different...and the item I need worst is a replacement handle. Mine's been repaired (welded) once and broke again through the same pivot hole.

Anybody got an idea whether or not an older 450 can be adapted to accept the "new style" handle and linkage?

The new style handle and linkage will work on the older models. Just punch up lyman on the computer to order the parts.
Good luck

go to the lyman site & look under older 450 parts at bottom of the page :
handle conversion kit $17.50 + postage.

it`s the linkage to convert your old style bicycle handle type linkage to the newer style .

One of my Lyman 450's has been converted to the newer style handle and linkage, but it broke. The problem is that it is made of cast steel and wears through. I made a replacement out of 1/4" steel strap and welded the handle to that:

Thanks again, guys...

Between the diagram 45nut linked for me and the info on the Lyman website, I think I've pretty well worked out what I need to order.
