Just wondering if anybody is loading 7/8 lee keyed slugs for a semi auto? I need to find a good load for 3 gun compitition. Something with reduced recoil but will function my benelli consistantly.

I use these in my Remmy 11-87 downloaded for target shooting. I use a Vectan powder called A1 which is a shotgun powder. I think its similar in burn rate to either Herco or Unique.
The slug only needs to go 50 meters and I dont need to be pounded launching them!
Quick recovery for sight aquisition is needed too as I use a red dot.
I use 25 gn of this powder which gives me a quite uniform 1050 fps. The empties just flop out the side and go about a yard. Not had any cycling issues.
Also use the Lyman sabot and get the same accuracy and similar velocity.
Incidentally factory slug is 45 GB pounds a 100 here in the UK now! Thats about 75 US dollars.
Good luck .

Not sure on the Lee 7/8-oz. slug for sure but I have loaded the Lee 1-oz. using load data intended for 1-oz. of shot with "Clays" powder and the Lyman 525gr. using load data intended for 1-1/4oz. of shot using "WSF" powder and they run through my Saiga-12 Semi-Auto just fine.
