in the for sale section; there is a A2 press for sale. Pressman posted that " this is a good one" because it has a removable bushing and a a cast steel body. other than a removable bushing; what makes it "better" ??

It is better because it is cast steel. The later one's without the bushing are cast iron.

In 1967 the A2 was changed to a cast iron frame, as is the Rockchucker that was also introduced that year. It was found that cast iron was as strong as cast steel in this application, and a lot cheaper.

However, the removable die bushing was eliminated and the upper "O" part of the frame redesigned for added strength with cast iron.

To those who value such things cast steel is thought to be a superior product. Others will argue that cast iron is superior.
