I don’t watch a lot of tv, but one of the programs I do watch from time to time is Gold Rush. On that show was one of the characters grandfather, John Schnabel. I would have liked to have met him. He just seemed to exude real,
old time, gentlemanship (is that a word)?

Elmer Keith would also be at the top. Just to hear one of his boisterous stories.

I think I’d also like to have a nice dinner with perhaps Jim Shockey.

I think I could do without Ted Nugent.

Almost all of those I would like to sit and talk to, have passed.
One would have been Mr. James Stewart.
He seemed like one of the most decent people of his time.
Another is Mr. Will Rodgers.
His insight in to things would have been interesting.
One who is still with us, might surprise most people.
President George W Bush.
He seems like a down to earth type of guy.
Someone, who like Mr. Will Rodgers, "Never met a man I didn't like"
People these days, never cease to disappoint me.

I have met Jason Chavets, former Congressman and Fox TV stand in. Good guy!

With any luck I may meet Trey Goudy next spring but after his joining the Trump campaign that opportunity may be out the window.

I could really dig an exchange with Dan Bongino, former LEO from NY and Secret Service agent!

But the best would our current POTUS, Donald J Trump .... by far!

My exchange with Jason Chavets went like this:

“I want to thank you for your service to our country in Congress and in the oversight committee”

Jason “You are welcome”

“You know, I could not have took the lies etc from your witnesses, I would have jumped over my microphone and grabbed them by the THROATS!”

Jason. “You are not only one who felt that way”

“Who held you back?

Jason (puzzled look) ..... “Do you mean party leadership?”

“Yes”

Jason gave no answer as to who.

I asked “Why?”

He answered “Because they are afraid of their own SHADOWS!”

Met a couple former major league baseball players. Nicest guys you could meet. Would love to meet the casts of my favorite tv shows, The Big Bang Theory and Married With Children. Oh did meet Father Benedict Groeschel. He had a tv show on EWTN.

Hi...
Not much I to celebrities or TV personalities...
I have met some politicians up close and personal...all of them seemed fake except Sean Hannity. He seemed a nice guy when I met him at a book signing some years ago.

When I was a kid my grandmother took me to meet Michael Landon at the grand opening of a used car lot. He wasn’t much of a star back then. I don’t remember the year, but it was probably between 1965-1968.

Tom Selleck would likely make my list. It's pretty short - the only other celebs I would have an interest in meeting would be Mike Rowe and Gary Sinise.

Fortunately, I had an opportunity to meet R. Lee Ermey before he passed. Dude was the exact same off camera as he was on.

Hi...
I met Gary Sinise at a Sean Hannity Freedom concert at Six Flags in NJ some years back.
Seemed s nice guy...I have great respect for the work he does for veterans. Only met in passing...shake hands type of thing.
Same type of meet and greet thing with Charlie Daniels at one of those Sean Hannity Freedom concerts at Six Flags... don't remember if it was he same year or not. Ted Nugent was there one year also but I didn't see him in the meet and greet line the year he was there... didn't see Hank, Jr the year he was there either.
Both did put on pretty good shows at Sean's Freedom concerts, though.

In 2002 I attended the NRA national convention in Reno Nevada, Walking around I stopped by the entrance to the auditorium and looked around me. I realized that five feet to my left was Medal of Honor winner Joseph J. Foss, Five feet to my right was Charlton Heston. I didn't dare speak a word to either of them.

Joe Foss as I remember was a Medal of Honor recpiant and was due to board a flight when he had to go through a TSA check. Agent said he'd have to confiscate his MOH. And that didn't happen. Frank

I've net Tom Selleck twice.
Once here when he was filming Magnum, then at the last Great Western in Pamona, kakafonicate.
Very nice guy, kind of shy.
Tall, to me anyway.

Sadly, so many of the ones that I would have enjoyed meeting have passed away. A few that come to mind are;

President Trump
Clint Eastwood
Tom Selleck
any of the members of the group Alabama
any of the group The Oakridge Boys
Alan Jackson
George Straight
Olivia Newton John
about any of the cast from the movie "Tombstone"

No doubt I'm leaving some off.

I couldn't think of any celebrities at first...except maybe Tom Selleck ,
but then I thought of one that I would like to buy a few beers... Jeff Foxworthy ... But there is one condition...He has to still be a Red Neck...if he's done gone all uppity Hollywood Star , too rich and famous and don't want to associate with us regular dirt poor cajuns , red necks , crackers and stump jumpers ...then never mind .

Not many I would care to meet that the world would consider celebrities. Those I have met seem no different than normal folks. lots of jerks and some really good people. I would not mind being next to Eleanor Tomlinson on an airplane, but meeting any of them would not make me a better person.
