anyone ever shoot lead out of one of these; if so what bullet and load?

I use lead in my 338 WM. Love it. Until recently the only mold I had was the Lee 338 220 gr RNGC mold. The rifle wouldn't stabilize that boolit at velocities under 1650. At 1700 fps it is iron sight accurate out to 600 yards when my old eyes are fresh in the morning. Recently I acquired a NOE 336 mold for a 235 gr. semi point with a small meplat. In the same gun, that boolit is stable at 1500 fps. I know it is the 338 Lapua but I hope this helps. My best powders are 5744 and RE-7 both at roughly around 29 gr.

No but did correspond with Tom @ accurate a while back about a mold. In the end I decided in order to keep My .338 Lapa in the role I intended for it I'll continue to feed it long heavy match bullets at about 2800 fps.
