Has anyone been doing testing with this group buy bullet? I have some loaded up in 30-30 with 9 gr SR7625 but have not taken the time to shoot them yet.

I had 'some' initial success in my old win 94. ( Not too impressive...I think it was 3/4 inch (?) at 15 or 20 yards..leaning against the garage. But groups after that all showed some keyholing. ( Maybe that 1st group had it too..I didn't notice). I would guess this bullet is too long for the speeds I wanted to use it at.

I've sold that rifle...It had accuracy problems... Can't go back there...But i may try it in a marlin 30-30. My molds are enough oversize to maybe work in fat 30 rifles also. I have high hopes for it in a Lee Enfield #4....

Since we Americans seem to live to work, the fun stuff has been on the back burner....

I think a good load will have to be fast enough to stabilize the bullet but slow enough to not lead the bore....

I've been shooting mine in several 30-30s. The bullet has a velocity limit of about 1300 fps before in starts leading for me. At that or lower it shoots as well as any 22. I size them 0.311" and tumble lube them.

If that is the CTL312-160-2R, I have been using it a few years, .303 Savage, .308, 7.5x55 SR and 7.62x54R.
Up to 2000fps in .303 Savage, using IMR 4064, down to 1350fps with 8gr Herco , I have had good results in everything but the 7.62x54R, the groove is .314 and everything is too small for it.
1/2 to 1" groups at 50 yds with the other 3 rifles, no leading so far.
I waterdrop and use LBT soft blue lube or liquid alox, twice.

Hi Drinks!

Sorry for this late reply...

That is a special mold we ordered a while back. Nothing like the bullet you are thinking of...
