I have found another Marlin, but I think it may be a little high on price. Thought I would throw it at you guy's and see what you think.
All I know is it is a 1894 in 44mag pre safety. He say's it is in good shape.(how good???)
Asking price is $375 My bluebook says --100% condition is $375
What are the 1894's selling for in your area?
Thanks in advance
Jeff

That's about what they're going for around these parts (Western North Carolina) among cowboy action shooters, mostly in .38/.357, and .45 Colt.

That is exactly what I just paid for a used 1894, that is in excellent shape. I thought I got a really good deal. I would have paid $50-$100 more for the rifle. Tom.

At that price on gun broker it would not be there long.

I bought one a few years ago from Gander Mtn in what I would estimate at 90% for $250 plus 5% tax. This is one of the few times that Gander had something I was interested in that was reasonably priced. It is the pre-safety with the microgroove rifling but it shoots well with cast.

Thanks Guy's It is about a 40 mile drive that is why I ask here first. I think I will go look at it.

Saw a similar Marlin in .357mag. pre-safety, nice, today at a gunshow in MN asking price was $400. It was in someones hands constantly-not sure if it sold had to leave early.
