I really like the easily changeable elevation sights like you have with an FN-49 or even the buck horn lever gun sights.

Does anyone know of a good set that holds zero and is durable for picatinny rail AR style rifles?

I have used some cheap mag pull flip Ups on my lil badger. I installed a long rail on cause I didnt like its plastic rails. They work well For me.

Troys are decent and not too too expensive

I have a set of Magpuls as backup sights on my AR. They work well.

I've used a detachable carry handle sight in the past and liked it. You'd have to find a front sight that would work for it.

The thing I was wondering was if there are sights that are kind of like this:

I've got an FN-49 and with that peep sight and the ability to raise it, I can hit targets at 500 and 600 yards. I was thinking of a 300 Ham'r upper build and was considering just going with irons if I can get something like the FN sights, or maybe something like this?

There's got to be a really cool sight out there for AR style rifles that are good long range sights...

The standard A2 rear sight is adjustable to well past 600 yards. Same for the clamp on A2's. The National Match version can be had in 1/4 or 1/2 MOA. The click are more repeatable than sliders. Up until recently NRA service was limited to iron sights. The A2 rear has been refined to be incredibly accurate out to a 1,000 yards but you do have to count clicks.

Maybe not cool but it doesn't get much better than this for accuracy
