I just restored my sporter M1917 back to original. I’d like to leave the Timney in it but I would have to remove some wood from my rare W marked stock so I have to say goodbye to my excellent crisp Timney and install my factory original trigger back in the rifle.

I bought the Timney new about 20 years ago. It has a lifetime warranty from Timney. I actually emailed and called them yesterday asking if they updated the design to see if they made the housing slimmer. They said the trigger is exactly the same and if I wanted I could send it in because of the superficial factory spring wear to exchange for a new trigger. I wasn’t going to waste the $4 worth of postage to send it in when it works perfectly.

Is see they retail for $89...how about the first $60 shipped?

Is this for the 5 or 6 shot Version ? And is it for the issue cock on closing bolt or the Timney Conversion to cock on opening ?

I used it on my us model of 30, m1917, chambered in 30-06 with the factory cock on close bolt. My gun was and still is a totally factory unmodified rifle...accept for installing this trigger of course along with a no drill scope mount I put on at the same time. When I bought it back 20 years ago I do not believe there was specification listed on the package whether it was a 5 or 6 round version. I remember asking the gunsmith at gander about it and he said this trigger is the one I needed for my rifle. I don’t believe it ever came with plug like the new ones do being the Allen screw in the front is screwed up to hold the factory coil spring in place.
