After looking at the thread on Felix Lube and wanting to try it, a question of some significance has arisen in my numb mind. Following the instructions/formula, I see you start out by heating 2 tablespoons of mineral oil until it starts to smoke and then add one tablespoon castor oil and stir continuously for 1/2 hour. This small amount of combined oils, heated and stirred together for 1/2 hour will leave you with nothing but a trace of gum in the pot, will it not? I can't see where the two oils will not be cooked away in that time period. Any help with this will be appreciated as I would really like ti try this concoction and see what effect it has on leading in my guns. Thank you for any help you can give.
