I agree Albert, this is not your run of the mill production muzzleloader but a nicely made musket assembled from parts cast from original parts, no kit-gun this but a hand built musket from the early days of New England/England.

Please note:
The exterior of this musket has had rust in the past, I have wiped it down and oiled it, I have never polished it as I wanted the patina. I have let the brass age, if it's yours you can polish it back up bright, I would not. PLEASE LOOK CLOSELY AT THE PHOTOS.
It was made by Jeff Lawry. Forgive me if I misspelled Jeff's name. The parts are rifle shoppe parts hand assembled. The lock is lightning fast and I have shot this hundreds of times with greased paper cartridges with .69, .715 balls and I have bare-balled it with .69, .715 and .735 balls. The lock is lightning fast. The bridle screw has been modified to take a flashguard. The ramrod tip was made using a cartridge case. I don't like that. The barrel was probably a Colerain barrel, it is 42 inches, I don't like that I would prefer a musket from that era to have a 46" barrel. I think that about covers it.
