I found a listing on Ebay for three Single cavity Lyman molds with one set of handles. Got them all for $110.

Lyman Ideal Bullet Mold 311465, 311466, 311467 Loverin Design

I think these should work great in the 30-30 from small game on up. 125gr, 150gr and 175gr.

Does anyone have these molds...and what are you're thoughts...I've never had a Loverin Design boolit before.

I suppose I should expound...

I have a Win 94 30-30...but...I plan to use these with the rifle as a "2 shot" only. The boolit design seems to be a bit too "pointy" for my comfort level in a tube mag.

Sorry, They look like nice boolits, but, I wouldn't put them in a tube feed gun either :(

The 311466 sized .311 is the 'go-to' for my Savage 340 bolt-action .30-30. Loaded over AA5744 with W-W primers, I get sub-2" accuracy @ 100yd and brass seems to last forever.

They should do well.
As a kid, there was a impromptu target range here along the river bank just outside the city limits.
Boolits of that design were all over the ground.

Somebody sure liked them.

The 2 heavier work really well in '95 Winchesters; one in 30-40 and the other in '06.

I still use the '465 and '466 in a multitude of 30/31 cartridges including the 30-30. I have also used the '467 in the past but opted for other moulds in that weight range....primarily the 311041.

With an appropriate top punch you can put a FP (small meplat) on those bullets when sizing and lubing making them entirely safe to use in tube magazines. I usually size, GC and lube in one operation then put a different top punch in the 450 lubrasizer and then swage the meplat. Works well on AC'd COWW _2% tin alloy. The GC and lube in the grooves fully support the bullet in the H&I die so only the nose flattens/swages.

The NOE version of the 465 is the 311-127-FN.

The NOE is, so far, the only boolit my 2 most finicky
30-30's (Marlin 30AS and Marlin336 waffletop) will
chamber and shoot accurately. They want them
powder coated, checked and lubed, and they
demand IMR3031 for gas!

My old Ideal versions of the 466 and 467 are not that pointy, they are a round nose bullet that works fine in a tube magazine. The 466 powder coated and seated to the proper length is a super accurate round in my old Winchester 94 top eject. As a side note... I have been looking for a good while for the 465, should be a nice reduced load bullet. The 467 shoots really well in my 2 groove 03, I lube it with fairly hard lube all the way to the last groove and nose size the last 2 bands to .308.

The 467 is the most accurate in my single shot Savage 219 break action.

I received the trio today. I have to say...its the nicest set I've ever gotten off Ebay. Perfect condition, no rust, oiled and shipped in plastic bags...I feel like I did very well on this deal. I'm anxious to start casting a few and giving them a try. I may even take the Win94 deer hunting with cast this year. I've only ever had it out with J-word loads previously. A two shot should still be plenty. :)

I just cast up a small batch of them that look like a blunt 311467, They ran REAL fat @ almost 320...

I saved them but didn't size them.

I have a 2 cavity 311466, they shot very well in my 30 Herrett and I shot a bunch in my 50s Win 94. Never worried about the nose shape, they were more rounded than factory rn 3030 bullets. Don't remember the load, probably 10 gr Herco, but it's been 30 years!
