1972 LC 30 carbine ammo

I have 798 rounds on stripper clips and in bandoleers. All rounds are 1972 LC and in excellent new condition. Also have 2 magazine spoons that came in the ammo can with the ammo. A few clips are out of the bando's APROX 50 rounds or so on the clips. The rest are all in bandos. Comes in original 1080 round ammo can.

This is extremely hard to find ammo. List on GunBroker for $0.65 ea. I want $450



For now I do NOT want to ship.

I am located in eastern Iowa. 52732. Will drive a reasonable distance to meet for pickup.

Have you broken one down to ascertain it is real LC and not Chinese berdan primed?

That would be a wise thing to do. I have some of both types, and to look at it there is no discernable difference.

The Chinese Carbine ammo I have seen was 52 dated. Not sure if there were other years.

It was only 52 that was the fake. This came straight from Rock Island Arsenal in Rock Island Illinois back in the 70's. It came mixed in with the stock truck filled with 3006 cases. It was bought for a local rifle club. They filled the stock truck with ammo. And everyone picked up Garands and 1903's at the same time. I think there was 20 some Garands that were bought. My old lady's late father got a 1903A4 Remington sniper rifle at the time from them. It is still sitting in his gun cabinet unfired from him. He is missing the scope. But it came with the rings and base.
