Hi Guys,

I have an under hammer action I traded for awhile back. Naturally when it arrived the sear was broken off the trigger. I made a replacement trigger with sear. I got it roughed out and hardened it with some Kasenite. It took some fiddling but I got the engagment positive but its still a bit heavy.

I would start by just working the trigger many times to see if it will lighten up. If that doesn't work, carefully! and lightly, stone the angle of engagement until it is where you want it. You may have to re-harden the trigger again.

An adjustment screw can be easily placed, I would drill it through the hammer first second choice trigger. I put one in the under hammer Buff/bench rifles I built. Makes it very adjustable.

Any pictures? Would it go to the flat in front of the sear lip and limit how far the surfaces come together?

Sorry no pics but you get the idea how it works. It just limits the amount of engagement of the sear.
