I need a Lyman 457130 boolet mold. it makes a 145gr "collar button" boolet that is a lot of fun to use for small game and plinking. I had one but "lost it to a "friend" and now that I have almost run out of boolets I need to cast some more but no mold.

shy of finding a lyman your best bet would be NEI mold # 332C
plus you could get any where from a 1 cav to 6 cav mold

Great minds think alike, I guess!

I wanted to design a tumble lube bullet. Maybe 200 grains that fell from the mold at .460. Strictly a slow bullet for game and cans and such. It would 'kinda' make your 45/70 into a 45 long colt.... ( A friend has wrapped 45 acp 200 grain tumble lube bullets with teflon tape and shot them to good effect to 100 yards. THAT'S A GREAT LOAD!) .460 should fit most things.... What do you think?

ive been thinking about a little plinker too , but other things keep getting in the way i Know Dan would be able to make a good little plinker . but 180 grs is the lightest ive seen . it seems to me that getting a .459 round ball would be a good place to start . can anybody tell me how this would work ? or would i be better off with a shotgun

Seems I heard a year or so ago that somebody had found a cherry for this mold in the corner at Lyman and had run off a limited edition of the 45 collar button. The price, if I remember, was pretty high. They might still have one or two left.
