:drinks:I have been fortunate in the past to aquire WW for little or no money. However, I found about 700 lbs. @ .25/lb. Is that a good price?? It seems that with the price of gas and the cost of running around searching, this is a good opportunity for me. What do you think??:Fire:

Buy them all. Even wholesalers are paying $.30 a lb for wheel weights. If your are in Phoenix let me know and I'll go 1/2s with you.

I would go for that deal if I found it. It's around the going rate I been paying, but it's all in one spot which saves fuel and time costs.

I shoot around 10 lbs per month, so that is a 5 to 6 year supply. the price ain't going to go down much over that 5 to 6 year period.

Lead dropped a whole nickel to $0.55 on the spot market today. Wholesalers are not going to be paying that kind of money for WWs much longer. Still, I have no idea where the bottom of all this is. A couple of years ago, when lead was on the way up and I too tired of driving all around, burning gas and getting refused, I paid $0.20/lb for a large quantity of WW's so I think you are getting a fair deal.

Personally I'd jump on the deal. If for nothing else but the savings in time and fuel until You go through that 700 pounds. "Good Snag"! The term me and my gun trading Buddies use for a good acquisition or a hot deal.

I'd jump on it if I were you...If you are near Ohio, I'll go halves if you don't want it all

Sounds fair to me. If you're in the central KY area and want a partner I'll go in with you as well..

I feel so blessed...

I have a route that includes six tire shops that I hit every other Friday. I come home with between 300/400 lbs of WW, about 20% stickies, every two weeks. The EPA has extended the ban date to July1, 2011; we have an extra year before the supply starts to dry up. I told my wife I wanted about six tons by that time, since I am paying 15-25 cents a pound. I have sixteen of the black one gallon buckets, and two five gallon buckets full. Sadly, about 10-15% are the aluminum ones. Sooo, I sort all "Micro", and "AL" and throw everything else in a separate bucket. The Micro ones are the highest quality, and that's what I use for my Sharps and '86 50-110.

That's a great deal. I'll add that if you're around Atlanta I'd go in on some and even supply some help for picking it up and delivering it. My youngest son lifts weight and has friends that do too. They are strong like ox and almost as smart.
