Whats available.

Whats been used and has worked well!

This is a couple Marlin levers chambered in 375 Win.

I like a heavy for caliber and WFN, but of coarse it needs to feed.

What have you used?

NOE 379-284gc (379449) feeds fine in my BB94 and has accounted for 3 deer with 3 shots. As accurate as I can hold with iron sights, about 2 1/2 inches at 100 yards. I have the RG hp version, but probably not needed. I run it around 1700fps, easy on the shoulder hard on the venison!

That Lee bullet shoots (and casts) very well. I have that mold and use it on 10gr of 20/28 powder as a plinker and woods walking rifle. I suspect that load would take a deer just fine, just haven’t done it ...yet.
Forgot, it casts large enough for my BB94, .378 if memory serves. Might be a tad small for the micro groove, no personal experience there.

Nosler partition. Why risk a trophy shot with a cast bullet. Ammo is the cheapest part of a professional hunt.

Partition is a good bullet, but not what the op asked about. In my experience, over the last 25 years of killing deer with cast bullets, a cast bullet in the right place is just as good as the partitions I used the prior 15 years. And what is a "professional hunt"?

There is no appropriate 375 Winchester Nosler Partition bullets offered. But for this caliber they would be useless it dosent produce velocities enough to over preform a conventional cup n core bullet.

Cast bullets are excellent fodder for ths caliber.

I use a rcbs mold. Drops about 264 gr. It's a GC design.
Works great in my micro groved Marlin model 375.

Now if you want a specialty bullet go to Hawk bullets. I had them send me some made with a very thin jacket. It worked great.

Thank you! Yes, Hawk makes great bullets!!I have had great luck with commercial cup n core bullets. But as costs are forever raising, cast boolits are increasingly enjoyable to me. This being of substantial dia I would really like to use my own Cast.

Well you should try the rcbs mold. Shoot some unsized as the drop out of the mold with a good lube. And, it's what you like....heavy for caliber at 264gr.

Larger meplat is desirea le to me in a hunting bullet. Dia isnt huge as I will be powder coating. Velocity wont warrent a gas check ince powder coated either.

I should have my mold by Saturday. With luck I can even cast some this weekend from it!

That should be a winner for you. I like the design of the Lee and could probably have just left it at that. But I tend to collect molds....
Looking forward to your results.

I've shot a fair amount of hogs and goats with my BB94 in .375. I used a LBT LFN 225gr. boolit and the old Hornady 220gr J-word. Both gave exceptional accuracy.

Well the fine folks at our USPS put the kibosh on any casting from this mold for me...

I ordered form a shop I have ordered before. They are in Tenn and without fail get me what ever I order in 3-5 days. The mold was shipped Tuesday morning, deliver slated with USPS for Friday... Tracking showed it in Washington state on Wednesday/Thursday. WT Fudge is it doin' in Washington?? :-P :groner: I'm on the East Coast!

Lookin' this AM.. Its STILL in Washington State. Probably loaded on some pallet in some where house. Its not the shippers issue, I am sure. Some worker loaded something wrong. Tracking says exactly where it is and has been. Its not lost, just went on a round about.

Ill live Just hope someone discovers the thing so I can have for NEXT Sunday...

My mold finally was delivered!!

I have about 500 cast and powder coated. Waiting on a sizer die for my machine. I thought I had at least a 379 from my 38/55....

Tonight I measured them up. They are right at .380 and very round. Happy for that!! I was in my old cabinet and found a couple hundred .379 255g molly coated I used to shoot in my Marlin Cowboy 38/55. I loaded two dummies with one of each boolit, and cycled them thru one 375S Marlin. SLICK AS GOOSE PLOP!! Even the one @.380!!!!! This is a micro groove bbl.

I am pretty suprized as I was also testing some 357 loads and those would not cycle in a Marlin @ .360, mostly worked @ 359. It took sizing to .358 for 100% slick loading. I know one dosent have anything on the other. Just surprised the 375 throat is so generous!

Any experience here with Micro Groove Marlins and 375 Winchester as it pertains to diameter? Anyone would like to share? Would be most appreciated. I have shot allot of lead/cast thru that cowboy but it had Ballard. I have shot allot thru one 45/70 W/micro and no issues. My fav 45/70 is a 1970 model with conventional rifling. The afore mentioned 357 is also new to cast so I am hoping that .358 is agreeable to it. This one is not gonna be pushed, I have a nice 180/190 wfn mold that Im perfectly happy sub 1000fps thumpers.
