sorry gentlemen if the above question seems silly but i think my brain as shut down over this lol
who makes the mold for them......just read about them on another forum and i dont think i have seen one

You might be thinking of the Lyman #452484, a RN form much like #452374 but with gas check heel. I once had a 2-cavity version of this mould. It was likely meant for use in the Wildey 45 Winchester Magnum; the gas check in a 45 ACP application is utterly superfluous. This one has been out-of-print for over 30 years--one of the semi-custom makers could likely cobble one up for you (NOE, Mihec, Accurate Molds, Mountain Molds). HTH.

many thanks for a quick reply.....
his post said he used it in the french 1883 11mm revolver which used a heeled base bullet at .429
he said he was told by an old caster if you used soft lead and when seating the boolit the case would shave off he lead around the gas check which was the same size as .429.
i was just curious of how clever folk can be

yes i have seen that....just find it intriging how folk can manipulate around issues
