Hello,
I'm looking for some information about the Legal Defender conversion kits for .36 Navy style cap and ball revolvers, for those of you who own one, what brands do they fit? It is my understanding that they fit Pietta's, but do they fit other brands like Uberti or ASM with some modifying?
Thanks.

I don't think I am any help; I own one but bought it used. I think the maker of my gun is DGG (later became ASP). The only thing I can say now is that if the conversion cylinder is shorter than the one you will be replacing it will not work. If it is longer, the face of the cylinder could be turned down to size. I will do some more checking and let you know if I find anything.

I own a Uberti 1851 clone (date code AT = 1988) with the Legal Defender kit installed. It works.

I didn't perform the installation, and I haven't shot it much, so I can't tell you much more about it.
