:confused: my 1894 marlin ( old style made 1898 ) broke the main spring the day after I got it. ( too much levering with my new toy I suppose )[smilie=1: so I geared up a spring out of the junk drawer that worked o.k. ( a little weak, would not always hit primer hard enuf ). then I saw replacement wire type springs at numrich gunparts so i got one for the 94 and the 1889 just in case. it binds bad in the 94 and had to be squished a bit to even be able to cock it. has anybody else used these and did u have to do any modifications ?? thanks.
