i had a left renegade .50 percussion with QLS(?). on the advise of this forum, i sent it to robert hoyt to be bored to .62/20ga smooth bore. i couldnt be happier or more impressed. i sent the stripped down barrel apox 3/6/2019 and got it back yesterday 4/8/2019. i called him had a very brief conversation to get the price. i sent a check with the barrel. in the very secure package was refund money because i had sent too much. he could have kept it, i wouldnt have known. the barrel looks great. mr hoyt WILL get any future work from me. an skilled and honest craftsmen!!! a rare breed. thank you sir!! irishtoo

+1 for Mr. Hoyt. He's done several barrels for me and will, God willing, do many more.

Yep, good guy.
Just got my Hawken barrel back a couple of weeks ago, did a great job.
Was a .50 and now it is a .54

Bobby can also will reline your old trapdoor in the original 3-groove, 1:22 twist to bring the "old warrior" back to life (with respects to Spence and Pat Wolf.) Ed

ETA: Ooops. Sorry, didn't notice the forum was muzzleloading, but Bobby is still a great guy.

Bobby has an excellent reputation and he's earned it by doing excellent work - if I had a barrel to be bored or fresher out - he's the man. Enjoy your barrel - a .62/20 gauge smoothbore is a lot of fun!
