well went back out to my grandpas today. they are cleaning out the house and tossing a bunch of items. i got a few items heres the things i scored.

i think one of the coolest finds i scored was this picture, late 50's/ early 60's picture of the Milan rifle club. pretty cool in my book, grandpa is back row 2nd from the left.

I like his rifle, an iron sighter.

I built my wife an iron sight Palma.
I hope you and your Grandfather spent time together. A lot of experience there.
We all gotta go sometime. It just sucks when someone close takes the dive. It hurts, life changes, sometimes folks just never are the same.

He is holding a Winchester Model 52 D. No finer .22 rifle has been made in this Country. I was lucky enough to inherit my Dad's Pre-War Model 70 Winchester in .270 WCF. Where did your Grandpa's rifle go?

Doug, them is fightin words! Have you ever tried a mod 37 Rem. Every bit as good, maybe better than a mod 52 Win. There was some perty good 22's made back then.
My own preferance is for the 37 Rem.
