My great score today!

So I was checking out a local guy traders forum the other day and I find 4 pounds of Unique for sale for $70.00. Not a bad price but I really didn’t have an extra $70.00. So I talk to the boss lady who governs all things Financial in this household (with an iron fist I might add) I tell her that I would like to offer $60.00 for the powder. She gives me the nod and agrees to my attempted purchase. Well I make the offer and the seller agrees. Great now I really have a good score. The deal is all set to go down yesterday at a spot about 20 or 30 minutes from me. I show up to the agreed meeting place I have to wait a few minutes for the seller. Well when the seller arrived he realized that he had mistakenly grabbed the wrong powder. After a lot of apologizing on his part and a lot of me saying don’t be silly no big deal these things happen, we agree to meet this morning at a different location that’s a little closer for him and, although in a different direction, about the same distance for me. When I arrived he was all ready there. He hands me the powder and I hand him the $60.00. This is the part where a great deal just turned into a really fantastic deal. This Gentlemen hands me back $20 and says that’s the least he can do for the inconvenience he put me through yesterday. Try as I might he will not except the $20 back. So I just bought 4 pounds of Unique for $40.00! That’s $10.00 a pound!. Now I don’t shoot as much as I would like to and I certainly don’t shoot as much as a lot of my fellow forum members. When I do reload and shoot Unique is my go to powder but I haven’t had to buy any in a while. I don’t remember what I paid the last time I purchased some. So I went to the local bass pro just to get an idea of what they sold unique for. They didn’t have Unique at the time, but the powders they did have all ran about $30 to $35 a pound. Which seems about right for a pound of unique as far as I can remember.
That ladies and gentlemen is my great score for today !

She money? It’s all she money ! I’m lucky she lets me keep my socks and underwear ha ha! All kidding around the side I consider myself very fortunate that she’s kept me around for 36 years . It hasn’t always been easy but it’s been real ! Good lord knows she’s put up with enough for me over the years. With all that being said she may not be the best woman in the world but she’s the best and the only woman for me. and I wouldn’t change a thing! Thanks for all the comments guys

I would use the extra $20 to do something nice for SWMBO, and make sure she knows where the funding came from. That way she may be more willing to loosen up the purse strings the next time a whopper deals is offered to you. You got happy on this purchase, why not include her in your good luck. Just another way to pay it forward.
