I am looking at a 514 without a bolt and might be looking for the bolt to fit it. If someone has one laying around please let me know. I used to see them all the time but not recently. I have not bought the rifle yet but may if there is a bolt I can get reasonably.
I mistakenly thought all 510.... series rifles used the same bolt but there is one that doesn't and it is the one I am looking at.

Isn't the 514 bolt different from The 510 series? Try LeesParts regardless.

Numrich Gun Parts, has 3 of them complete w/ handle. It looks like 1 maybe 2 made by Rem. 1 is a reproduction. ...Of course they are spendy, but the repo not so much!
I just put in "Rem. 514 bolt".
Hope this might help! Mac

I have a 514 and needed a bolt. HAH
You can buy a whole rifle for cheaper than just a bolt.
Typically a 514 goes for about $100 in a reasonable situation.
Used bolts START at over $100 and work their way UP.
After watching eBay for over 6b months, I found a reasonable one that was so warn that it was of questionable ability to work. It did work and I now have it for a back up.

I will have to be very limited as to what I spend for the rifle without the bolt, won't I?

I don't have it unfortunately. I have a stripped action with the bolt in it, but that's a project for another day.
I do have 2 Mossberg bolts
2 Remington 40X 22LR bolts.

I was given a Rem 514 minus the bolt....just couldn't tolerate having a perfectly good rifle that is completely useless. So, I bit the boolit and bought a bolt off of Gunbroker for $100. I often wonder about the oddity of encountering rifles with missing bolts....then the irony of finding complete bolts for sale on various sites.

The sum of the cost of parts separately does always seem to far exceed the cost of the entire unit in many cases.
