Has anyone tried the 125 grain Lee cowboy boolit in the 9mm or 39 super? It seems like if it would feed, that it would make a good small game boolit. It has a decent meplat.

Inquiring minds wanna know,

Well, I haven't tried this one in any auto's yet, but I did pick one of these molds up awhile back after noticing they were available again. The new version is supposed to be "improved" over the older bevel base design, and it is a good-looking boolit to my eye. Some field reports would be nice, that's the real test. If nothing else, I got it to conserve lead in my revolver loads. Here's to hoping it shoots good also!

It shoots great in my 686, with 38 special cases, at steel plate range. Mine is a plain based boolit.

I am going to try it in my 357 Marlin. I have shot it in magnum cases at 50 yards at chickens and pigs. I was really happy with the way it shot. I didn't put it on paper, but I will.
