I'm having problems with the firing pin sliding out the back of the bolt of my single shot Stevens model 73 .22 causing it to jam at times, could I be missing a part that keeps this from happening? Gun fires straight and has no problem ejecting the shell

Hello Speedyraven

Is this the gun?

Do you have all those parts?

Yes that's the rifle, I'm almost sure all the parts are there except for the Ejector Pin maybe cause not sure where it is supposed to be. There is a small hole threw the side of the bolt, is that where it's supposed to be?

I believe that the pin (Part #7) passes thru the notch in the firing pin to hold it. From pics it appears to be a roll pin. make sure yours is still there and also not broken or worn. Check legs on firing pin to make sure they arnt broken or worn. Most likely the front leg if pin is sliding out the back
