By 32 caliber, do you mean .314" or .323"? I accidentally voted 32, I want a .314" bullet.

The .314 I believe is the more common size in 32 now a days.

You list .313" for 30 caliber. You may want to clarify.

You never hear much on them but if I can add to the poll I will put them on there.

Sorry not able to modify the poll.

I would think .416 would count under 41 caliber.

I voted for 311/313, because of the .313, though the “32” option would work too if it’s for .314 revolver boolit molds.

Wasalmonslayer never made the 30 vs 32 calber clear, but I would like to change my vote to 30 caliber assuming a .314 bullet.

My plan is to use this poll to decide the order from most popular to least then we will have pick a design from something out there sketch it up then list the buy.

So it appears 30/32 caliber and 41 caliber have the interest.
Which one do you want to do first??
Please let me know give ideas and we can work on this as time allows.

Thanks

That 32 cal bullet that Wheelgun posted in your Arsenal interest thread looks good. The TLC313-115RF. I'd get in on a group buy for that one.

.338 and .460. May be .358
(because these are bolt and semi-auto rifle bullets that do well in short-action setups. and therefore popular)

So at this time we are deciding on 30/32 caliber and or 41 because of the poll outcome.
Others are side lined till these wrap up.

My thought with the poll was to do them in order from most popular to least popular.

Any updates??

No updates because no one is chiming in. I have no horse in the race.
I am just trying to help those that want a quick design and group buy for a quality mold.

Your other thread is full of ideas. I didn't realize you were waiting for anything. I have since ordered a custom for my 32. I would like to see a 41 caliber mold. Something like a gas checked 220 grain RNFP.

I'll second the .41 mold in a GC RNFP. I'd be happy with 210 - 220gr.

Is this up for another vote on design? I'd like a 32 revolver bullet. The Ranch Dog design submitted previously or possibly one of Arsenal's existing designs.

Here is what I had in mind. 220 grains for more load data, and more velocity. Gas check for the velocity, especially in rifles. Nose length that should fit any gun, including the GP100 I pray Ruger will make.[smilie=1: I might even be interested in a second mold as a single grease groove, plain base.

Could you send me that drawing you posted.
I tried to copy it but when I make it large enough I can not make out the numbers.

Thank you!

I'd like to point out that the drawing I posted is not perfect. One big flaw is the gas check size. It seems there are a number of gas check sizes for "41" caliber, and none seem to be standard. I see Sage Outdoors sells a couple sizes, One for a .397" shank, and one for a .381" shank. It looks like the .391" number I got is for 416 rifles, but it doesn't seem like they make checks in that size anymore.

I'm also open to opinions on plain base. It's looking like these are not as fast as I was thinking was possible. The gas check is of little use in a revolver, although it seems 1700-1800 fps should be possible in a rifle. Of course you could always load them slightly lower, as many people say 1600 fps or so is a practical limit to plain base accuracy.
