OK, I guess I'm officially old ... I remember buying some of those "old" treasures when they were still new on the sporting goods store shelves ...

Nice find. The painted RCBS die boxes were before I started reloading.

I WISH I had a picture of my old smelting / pour pot, held 20# or so and fairly sure it was a Saeco pot; Bottom pour. Used it on an old Coleman stove (we knew which one as the grid bars had bent a smidge under all that weight.) Cast a LOT of boolits with that beastie :)

"Vintage"? Most of the stuff on my shelves is from the same time period! Watch who you're calling old.......I'm only 61 but I also use a Tru-Line Jr press!

I just observed the 31st anniversary of my 39th birthday, so I guess I’m officially an “old fart” but I still claim the right to call most of the stuff shown in this thread as “current” at least it is in my shop!

I just used my 25-06 dies, they are Redding in a cardboard box. I have a bunch of RCBS in those boxes.

I got the shotgun press pictured as part of a larger it's neat looking and my end up being a decoration but it it looks like the majority of the pieces are there. I have been getting a lot of vintage equipment lately...something draws me to it lol.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190723/10dd8b1b0687f83549a955bfe28d433b.jpg

249958249960249961Hello I’m new to the site . I’ve read a ton and have only posted here once before .
But anyway here’s my new, old lubesizer I recently bought .It is a Ideal model #1 long before Layman bought them out . Don’t know what year it is but would gess it’s close to if not a hundred years old . I don’t have it in use yet . But have plans to on, a lot of my lubing needs soon.
If anyone has more information on these lubesizers . I would love to get it. Manuals . How to,s and parts places if any. . Ok anything would be great .
Thanks Dan

If there was anything wrong with old reloading equipment I would loose enough to put me out of business. I still use some of the Herter's stuff I bought in 1971.

Trader Dan, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your No1 was made by Lyman. Sometime between 1926/7 and WW2. When production resumed in 1947 it was replaced with the #45.

How to tell the difference in who made it? The address. Yours is Middlefield, that's Lyman. The pre Lyman's are New Haven. Savage made No1's would also be New Haven though I have not heard of anyone with a Savage marked example.

I have several Bair presses that I use regularly, 12 and 20 ga sg presses and a big Kodiak that I reload 30-40 krag and 30-06 on. I also use a lyman #45 and two #450 lubrisizers. Nothing wrong with the old stuff. You just have to get creative if something breaks.
