Bruce Miller PIO of the North - South Skirmish Assn. posted an alert to watch a current Shooting USA hosted by Jim Scoutten on OLN. Next showing will be Mon 5 Dec 2005 at noon. Jim hosts great shows on cars and guns. I have had the pleasure of meeting him several times at shooting events and last time a year or so ago at the Waterford Hills Race Track where he was filming a car show.
I was able to watch the N-SSA show yesterday and I think that many who enjoy 19th century black powder firearms will find something of interest in his show. There is pleanty of smoke and noise and tons of lead projectiles breaking targets as Skirmishers shoot muzzle loading and breech loading small arms, cannons and mortars.
I had the pleasure of shooting them all in the N-SSA until this spring when I had to give up some of my shooting sports for health reasons. This showing of shooting sports shown in a good light by Jim brought back many memories of the good times.
