233303I picked up a couple of Bair/Pacific DL 150 shotgun presses many years ago. Nice old presses, one is 20 ga and the other 12. I also have a Bair Kodiak 150, I think that’s the actual weight of the thing. I use that one for my ‘06 and .30-40 ammo. I like using the vintage stuff. No telling how many rounds were crafted on these old machines. That’s a neat thing about reloading, these vintage tools continue to live on just like the weapons they used to build ammo for while the hunter, bullseye shooter, police officer, soldier fades away. I like old guns too.

One of my single stage presses is an old Lyman. Looks like a weary old horse but when operating it you can feel the quality!

I like your Elvira picture, I’ve been a fan since the beginning. Just a quick story:

My daughter knows a guy that went to a horror convention 2-3 years ago and got to visit with her. Now this is a young guy in his 20’s or early 30’s. He said that Elvira was the coolest chick he had ever met. That statement didn’t surprise me.

I have a set of Bair cub 30.06 dies. Ruined the pin/flaring part. Trying to get a stuck case out. I hope to find a replacement pin. I like vintage stuff too. I have lee dies for it too. So im not in a bind at least.

Try C-H for Bair die parts as they are the likely maker of the Bair dies.

I know that Bair was bought by Pacific which was bought out by Hornady. The reloading presses are somewhat similar as models overlap but I don’t know who built their dies. I have some old ch dies in my shop, I’ll try to remember to look tomorrow.

I looked for C-H. I found a co over seas. I think its a british co.?

C-H was the largest maker of reloading tools in the early 1950's. They custom made dies for many other reloading tool makers.
Today you can find them as C-H4D.com

233628This is the depriming rod from my CH 7.65 belgian mauser die, a hair under 4 inches not counting the pin. Looks like they changed the head a little. Mine is knurled aluminum, the threaded part is .495 in.

I have a .308 pin from my mosin dies. I had to get a .311 for it. Wish there was a way i could put it in the bair. Im not in a hurry. I have Lee dies for the 30.06. Just im bumed i messed up a vintage set.

The rod is threaded into the aluminum cap. You might be able to straighten that one. Those were made by C-H so a Herter's or C-H die could be used for parts. The trick is finding the correct length rod.

A neighbor bought a old house and was cleaning it out.
A shed in the back was a old guy's first generation man cave.

On the old work bench was a vintage 12 guage reloader that still worked perfectly.
Under the bench was a 5 gallon bucket all most full of spent primers.
