Del-Ton AR15?

Got a flyer in the mail, local shop is advertising a Del-Ton Echo 316L rifle, .556NATO, optics ready (no sights), 16" Bbl, and a 30 rd magazine for $389.00.

I've got my fill of AR15's but is this a good deal? (asking for a friend). I don't know anything about Del-Ton, but this seems to be a heck of a price for someone that doesn't own one.

Would this be a decent (reliable?) starter AR or avoid it? I only recognize the name.

Any advice is appreciated....

del ton is spoken well of on arf-com. i have no personal experience. all of my AR are built on anderson.

$389 for a factory backed AR is good in my book. It’s not a LaRue or LMT or POF but most shooters wouldn’t know the difference. Nothing wrong with stocking up

Bought a few of their uppers and seem to be as good as any other .

I'd get it if I was looking. You'd have to try hard to build one for that.

Got one in the stable.....it doesn't see a huge amount of use, but over 1000+ rds it has functioned flawlessly. Seems to eat anything we feed it and has never malfunctioned. I know it's not a huge round count, so I can't speak to long-term reliability....but for the $ I'd jump on it. Fit and finish are very reasonable, and although I've never had to use it, I hear their customer service is top notch.

Maybe a little late?, but I agree, I have two of their A3 rifle kits built on Anderson lowers, for the $ they are excellent, I wouldn't hesitate to get another.
