105 grain lee swc

I asked a similar question awhile back on a different bullet but just making sure.The cast bullet handbook says c.o.a.l is 1.450 for this bullet but I am coming in at 1.425 range to get it in the crimp groove.Is this ok?

It is a 38 special boolit

No problem. 38 special doesn't run high enough pressure for that .025 to make a lot of difference.

Perfectly alright and that is a favorite boolit of mine. My S&W m15 loves it unsized, tumble lubed over 5grs Bullseye.

Thanks a lot for the advice.One more quick question...Some of my cases when I measure are coming in at 1.145 range instead of the recommendation of 1.155.Should I just discard those cases.When I go to seat the bullet that’s gonna make my c.o.a.l even shorter right?

No need to worry about it. Having cases be somewhat shorter is a given with straight walled pistol cases. In most instances all that happens is the crimp isn't quite as heavy. Usually the COAL doesn't change much if any.

I trim all my cases to 1.147 to make the crimps the same. I had better luck with HP-38 than Bullseye. It is a great bullet, as good as my full wadcutters.
