I just got a line on an old plumbers lead smelter it’s got propane run
My friend told me his boss got it in storage unit he got for $100
I saw some big chunks of lead on the ground and asked about it
Sight unseen on the smelter what’s a fair price to offer

Just buy a turkey smelter, it can hold a larger pot. Make sure it is 50,000 btu or higher. Cheaper, too.

I'd try to guestimate the weight of the lead and go off of that -- say .50-.75¢ a pound and the smelter goes with the lead.

I’ve gotten by with cast iron pot, turkey cooker and Coleman stoves for more than 2 decades now and have more wheel weights, soft lead, tin solder and pewter that it will probably last me a couple more decades
Just thought it might be neat to get another smelting pot
I’ll offer him $20 I guess and see what he says
The owner is a 1% er and is also a junk collector
A multi millionaire with acres of junk he pays a full time mechanic to try to get things running
He is quite a unique friend
