I've had great success with the Lee Pro 1000 in 9mm and 45acp and the shell feeder works well too. Recently converted the 9mm to 40S&W and can not get the shell feeder to work like it did with 8mm. Lee's site says to use the Lg feeder and small slider. I'm finding that the slider knocks the shell over because the slider's height is shorter than the shell and the feed hole is too large for the shell diameter. The small feeder's feed hole is too small for teh 40 shell. Anything I should try?

The 40 can be a pain. I think I use the small case feeder- the trick I found is to get the drop tubes as close to the baseplate as you can and still have the cases clear each other without binding. someone might have a good way to get you to set it there- but for me it was a 'eyeball and check' kind of affair.

Thanks guys! I tried the small feeder and the drop tube's hole is too small to feed the 40 shell and the large slider is too tall and tries to push the next shell too so it has to be small slider and large feeder. I figure it must be my adjustment but quit trying after a while and fed one by one. Will try again this week. The thing is, the case feeder works so well with the 45 and 9 but after converting the 9 to 40, no dice...
