I have 4 loaded rounds of the Winchester paper shotgun shell red label. High brass #6's, never fired. They still have the waxy coating from the factory. Maybe from the 50's or early 60's. Any collectors value ??

Wouldn't know about about them being a collector's item (kinda doubt it though) but a couple of weeks ago an older gent at my club shot a box of those a friend had given him. More than a few were "off" sounding and two even had the paper hull separate from the base when shot.
I think they'd be great on someone's bullet board or other display.

They probably look like all the 12,16 and 20 gage paper shells that I have, some in original boxes. Collectors value? Not much if any! A full box in pristine condition will fitch a few bucks up to a $100 or so IF its EX condition and rare.

Full boxes and pristine box = collector's value only

Shoot them! They smell awesome in the paper hulls after firing.

I have a case of Winchester Mark V's empty once fired paper hulls, in the original case. Anyone use these anymore? Any collector value here?

Something else that makes a good conversation piece is look for a old 12 gauge "Wanda".

They are dark red, all hard plastic (no metal base) that you can see through.
They didn't last long, and I'd be a little leary of firing one, but they look cool on your desk with paper or the old Brass shells.

Four "orphan" rounds likely don't have much value ... but if you had a full box and the original box was in minty condition with good period graphics then that would be different.

I have a collectors dream, an un-opened wood ammo shipping crate of Winchester Ranger paper 12 gauge shells. Robert

The case was discovered under the stairs leading to the attic of an old hardware store that closed in the early `60`s. The wood is in excellent shape with the stencil paint very nice. The top is still nailed in place so nothing has been disturbed inside. I don`t know how to post photo`s here so don`t jump on me too badly about being computer stoopid.Robert
