Some of my Lee sizing dies are getting rather gummed up with lube. Do you think it would hurt them to put them in a pan of water and boil the lube off? I think it will work but i don't want to hurt the dies.

It won't hurt a thing as long as you dry them carefully and then protect them with a good preservative (Break Free, Ed's Red, Rig, etc).

Shouldn't hurt them, but you'll get lube all over the pan and probably leave a thin film all over the die too.
I just put a little solvent on a rag, and twist the corner of the rag up into the die; cleans them out real good. Most any hardware store solven would work. I use mineral spirits, acetone, or laquer thinner, because those are what i have handy.

Hose 'em out with spray carb cleaner.
GUMOUT works well. Spray interior, let drain.
Done.

I use spray brake cleaner. Works great. I pull a twisted solvent soaked rag through the die or, put a couple of patches dipped in solvent in a slotted jag, push it into the die and spin. Most times I just spray them down with brake cleaner. No need to contaminate a good pan.

+1 on the Brake cleaner
Another vote for Brake Cleaner. A bullet caster should always keep some handy.

....lighter fuel....you know, the stuff you put into a Zippo lighter......
...it's a fabulous solvent and evaporates away real quick.
Safe shooting,
