Are all those molds in the pull down box for sale? If so, they must of had a lot of overruns.

You can get an idea from the picture of the mold cavities. For $25, if you find something interesting, how can you go wrong. Of course, if you have to buy handles, that is another story. I've got many handles that fit Lee six cavity molds.

Ty was going to order me some 450 bushmaster dies and added a mold to the order.

The mold I would love to have is listed as "coming soon." Weird.

If you click on a caliber, it generates a pic of the mold.

For some reason I can only see the pictures for the first two in the list.

I stumbled onto that yesterday.
Several have photos and several don't. There doesn't seem to be any order.
many can't be ordered yet as it says "coming soon" in the quantity box.
A friend on another forum ordered one (a heavy 44, I don't recall the numbers), the ship fee is around $15...so that $25 isn't as tempting when you figure shipping. I'm waiting to here if the boolits drop near spec...or not? It seems weird they have these overruns for $25, unless they have been rejected by the Buyer, due to being a little out of spec. Back in the Day, Ranch Dog told me about his approval process with Lee for customs, and I know he rejected plenty.

They could ship one of those 6 cavity molds in a small flat rate box. Might have to remove the sprue plate handle but $15 is too much for shipping. I have a bunch of those GB Lee molds and it got to be a pain to keep them in the original boxes. I removed the sprue plate handles and put them in a separate box and store the molds in a sealed, gasketed box. Takes up about a fourth to a third the room on the shelf.

I had forgotten that several of the Lee GB's had to be returned because they were not according to the furnished specs. I doubt that anyone remembers the problems with individual molds now. That was several years ago.

Yes, $15 for one. But I added 3 to the shopping cart and shipping went up to a very reasonable $18.50. And after all, they are 6 cavity molds. But still a lot of question marks around them. Nothing that floats my boat, so I won't be of any more help here.

But that reminds me, I have to return another Lee mold with off-center cut cavities. One of the new style, too, C309-170-F, bought last February. Got a C312-155 at the same time the drops boolits like rain, C309 holds onto them in left side for dear life, because, near 190 degree cavity on that side.

There`s something unsettling about the `as is condition` of the molds and the nagging feeling that these could be production rejects.Robert

The tumble lube 312-190F sounds interesting.

How can an item on clearance be “available soon?” That statement, along with the no returns policy on them gives me cause to shy away... maybe OK, but I don’t need any of them seriously enough to take the risk.

Its just the web page design, basically its the only other option besides something along the lines of “choose this opion” etc.

Very tempted by one of the 429 molds, but dang, $16.80 shipping? Plus tax? $45 for a mold thats “on clearance”. Can get em shipped free from Amazon for that. Hmm...

Edit; Decided to buy it anyway. Asked if they would ship via flat rate box, we shall see.

I took a chance on a 429-225-rf, and C314-140-SP.

I wonder how they managed to get 430 grain bullets in a 35 caliber mold, as per #106 C359-430.

What is the 462-250rf intended for?

Not much of a sale, anything I was slightly interested in was 'coming soon'. Its a sale as its apparently all the stuff nobody wants.

With Lee, you get what you pay for. That said, I do buy a lot of their stuff!

If nobody said it yet, "coming soon" means it's already sold. I bought mine just a few hours after I saw the post, and all but one was in stock. I got both my molds today. The 314-140-SP is not what I expected, but the 429-225-rf looks like a good design. Much better than the 429-200-rf Lee stocks. Both are Lee new style molds, nothing visibly wrong with them. Both have a name on the box, so I assume it was group buy where somebody didn't pay.

I received my mold today and it looks good. Has one small flaw in one cavity I saw before buying it.
I'll cast some next week when I have a few days off and see how it works.

Bought two of these one is the 431-160 this is a nice looking mold and a 311-100 this mold also looks good but all the cavities are cut for gas checks so I’ll see how this works TL in my 32-20 revolvers. The 44 will be used in my Charter Arms Bulldog. Tim

Got mine today, one is used, or they are now smoking them. Two others are the same despite having different descriptions on the order list.
Maybe that's why they were $25.

Got mine. The 429-225. I really like the profile. As stated above I think its a better shaoe and weight vs their 200g round flat. The box mine came in also had a name on it and “cast boolits” written on it.

I cast some from mine the C358-260. The nose came out the same diameter as the driving bands.
My Whelen has a long lead but I will still need to seat deeper than I like. The weight was close to 300 grains (don't remember right now).
