We had a roof leak around a furnace vent , metal roof , I'm 69 and don't climb on the roof any more so called Roofing contractor to re seal it . The two workmen checked it out and determined my a/c pan was leaking...pan had a crack in it . They go on the roof and re seal the vent coming through the roof just to be sure, then they see my gutters are filled with leaves....He asks me for a trash bag, then they clean all the leaves from the gutters , front and rear...he didn't ask if I wanted it done he just did it because he knew I didn't have a ladder tall enough to reach the gutters and at my age I don't like to get too far off the ground !
I can't believe they did that, it was a blessing because I knew they needed cleaning but wasn't able to do it. These guy's saw the clogged gutters and cleaned them with no expectations of reward....
I wanted to hug both of them...but just shook their hands and made each take a few dollars....They tried to refuse but I wouldn't hear of it!
There are good people in this world...you know, I believe if the politically motivated and the bad news glorifying press would stop stirring up trouble we would all get along just fine.

The two men who cleaned my gutters were good nice people...may God Bless them !

The vast majority are good people. And yes, the press does a tremendous amount of harm and stirring in this world.

I try to do some thing good for someone when I'm out.
Today I found a cell phone, and returned it to the owner. He was really relieved.
Last week I found a set of keys. Didn't find the owner, but i turned it in to the range safety officers.
I do it in hopes that they will pay-it-forward, to someone else.
Beware, of those out there, who would take advantage or your good nature.
There are more of them than there are good people.

Well done to the Washington State "Mom"... And to the rescuers who didn't discount her concern and set out to look for the young lady. Would be nice to know that a new friendship blossomed and that they will keep in touch.

It is right to believe and hold fast that there are more good persons in the world than bad. I'm OK. You're OK. But we don't know yet whether they're OK. It takes only a few bad persons for the lying Media to make a mockery of the 6 o'clock news.
