Attempt to download apps on an ios9 from app store fail. Ios10 is out and everything is changed. There are some tricks to load previous version that you have already loaded but adding new is broken. So that is the way to get the apple iphones, etc. sales up. Changing apple ID on one kills any chance of reloading old ones by apple tricks.
Scrubbing an old phone or ipad (even backed up to Icloud) won't work if changing ID. Kinda stinks but you could end up with a rock vs a phone.
Guess I'll stay with the flip phone or go LG android.

android is not quite as bad.
i like android very much but run into apps REQUIRING an update that wont run on older android os versions.

my first smartphone was an mpx220.
wicked sweet back in the days of windows ce and "handheld pc".

so i do recommend android, just pick a mainstream model.
that way a factory or community os upgrade is more likely in the future.

Haven't been an apple fan. But Bought an ipad 12.5" earlier in the year and it is 100 times faster than any of my android tablets. And it looks great. Yep costs a lot more too....
