Got some 95 gr LBT LFNGC on their way, sized .258". Was initially thinking AA5744 but now am looking at Trail Boss. Anyone used it before? Targeting at or below 1800 fps.

I use 11.2 grains of TrailBoss or 9.7 grains of Green Dot for 1780 fps with 90 grain Lyman .258312 boolit. Turns the Savage 99 into a 25/20 and the brass is easier to find in the grass. I also like 10 grains of TB with 87 grain jacketed for about 1600 fps and a tack-driving load, which my cast boolit loads really aren't.

Thanks for the info. I've been having good success with cast boolits in the .250 Savage using Alliant's Reloder 7. It is sometimes hard to find, so I may just try some Trail Boss, which I have recently found to be a great powder for reduced power loads in the .44 magnum.
