Fellas I need a little advice about a safe. My Treadlok safe will not open. I have had it for 20 years or so and the original dial has been replaced with a keypad (amsec) I put new batteries in it (the limit of my tech) , called a locksmith and no joy. At this point the safe will have to be drilled. Anyone know anything about these safes. Any help is appreciated.

When I had that problem, there was only one of many locksmiths recommended. He was able to open the safe (17 yo) and replace the combo lock.
cost $350. to open a $300. safe but I still have a safe and access to its contents.

I would call several locksmiths. Surely you can find one thats either hungry or not busy.
