I asked this in my other thread, but what is the as cast dia. for you guys that have them? I like the weight and flat nose for a hunting boolit for a Rossi single shot in 7.62x39, but need a .311 boolit cause the barrel slugs .310.

The size is very close. It varies with alloys. You may want to try a Lee push through sizer. If I remember right, hard bullets usually cast very close to or right on the advertised size. Softer lead alloys may be slightly oversize,. With the push through sizer, you can seat your gas checks and get the bullet to the desired size. You learn by doing. Go for it and enjoy.

Unless you paper patch with that mold, I do not believe you will get .311 which you will probably need.
You can beagle it, but, will that work?
I have found good success with going larger, and sizing down with the push thru sizing dies. I use the C312-185R mold for my .303, and .30s.
Paper patching is simple, once you have it down to a system, and makes a mold fit a variety of rifles.
With it being a single shot, you have some real choices.
I would go larger, and size it down.

Mine is from a single cav. mould and drops .311x.302 Got lucky I guess. Its a rool of the dice sometimes with lee. My 312-185 was dropping .311x.299 before I worked it over.

Thanks guys.

Ru shooter, since my barrel slugs .310x.302 your mold would work perfect. Maybe I'll get lucky. If not it looks as if it is close enough that it would be easy to beagle it up to the correct dia.
