Yesterday was the day my new Cowboy came home with me.
As I had said before I was working on the 1895 SS.
And had some good results.
But the want for a cowboy keep nagging in the brain.:???:
So the other day I walked in my local gun shop.
And told the owner to order me a new one.
So he picked up the phone and ordered one for me.:-D
When I asked him how long? He replied, it is on it's way.
I said from where? He said Texas!
So now I own a cowboy from Texas.[smilie=w:

No Duke, Thats a 1895 sport safey.
I traded it in for a new Cowboy.[smilie=s:

To day I put the new barrel band on it.
What a Job!
The add said it would fit Marlins and Winchesters.
Well, not a 45-70!
The band is .660 and the mag. tube is .700.
So I went and reshaped it.
Now it fits.[smilie=w:

It went to the rang the other day.
And after a dozen rounds it calmed down.
Got a group of 3/4 by 5/8 at 100 yds.
Thats 3 tuching!
