About a week ago I decided to get The NOE K31 bullet mold 311-195. I had tried about every .30 mold I had on hand and none would fit the tight throat of my the K31. With the limited camming force of the K31's straight pull bolt even bullets that were close would fail to fully chamber because the nose would run into the rifling. Today I cast the first bullets with the new mold and they turned out perfect. When lubed with a gas-check them they weighed about 190 gr. I had to load some right away and do some plinking and they functioned flawlessly through the action and seemed to shoot well also. I now need to shoot them at some paper to see what they will do. To say that I am please this this NOE mold would be an understatement.

It is so nice when things work out that well. No doubt the paper will confirm that things are working well. Congratulations on the new mold!

By the way, the K31 is a dang nice rifle!

Looks like that undersize nose did the trick. Glad you found a good mold for your rifle!

"Looks like that undersize nose did the trick. Glad you found a good mold for your rifle!" ...waco

This is exactly right! All the molds whose noses were too small for my .30-06 (#311291, Lee C-309-180-R, etc.) did wonderfully in my K-31's. Some even needed their noses to be reduced a bit to allow seating such CB's "long."

What powder did you use? I’m interested in 2400

Be careful...they are habit forming .
I was going to buy just one , you know , just to see what all the hoopla was about ...come on how much better can they be ...I mean Lyman , RCBS and Lee had served me well for 40 years !
I'm not going to admit how many I own now...I usually pride myself on being tight with a dollar but the NOE moulds are in a totally different class and you find yourself getting a 15% SALE email and then you find another NOE that's perfect and out comes the credit card.....Just be careful !

I didn't know NOE had a K31 specific boolit...I wonder if Al has one that's K11 specific ? Oh no...here we go again !

What is your oal? I just cast some as well and I have to seat them with the gas check below the neck to keep them out of the rifling
