I'm looking for an old (late 1960s) Ruger rifle ad to frame for the reloading bench. I think it was in a Rifle magazine—that makes more sense than a Handloader, probably one of my Dad's. Unfortunately his collection of both was tossed out by his caretaker…that's what happens when he was in Prescott and I'm in California.

I know there are vintage ad websites, but I'd rather give the first chance to someone here in the family. If you're not willing to sell the ad, could you let me know what magazine and issue so I can seek the whole magazine?

Thanks,

Richard

Check eBay. They have a lot of old magazine ads.

I have a LOT of old paperwork on Ruger stuff. I'll have to see if I have one of these ads as a spare. Give me a day or so,, I do have to work too.

I did some digging,, as I did collect all of the ads by Ruger from 1949-the early 1970's from American Rifleman. The American Rifleman magazine was the main place they advertised back then. My ad collection of Ruger ads is pretty complete up until about 1973. I did not find it there.
The ad shows the No. 1 rifle, as well as the No.3. And it shows what appears to be a magnum M77. Now, the No.3 rifle didn't come out until 1972,,, so that ad is post 1972. I have some ads up into 1975,, and then I quit. (I'm an OM SA collector,) So,, I'd look hard at American Rifleman,, 1975 until the early 1980's.
Sorry I didn't find more data.
