Bruce B's Speed Casting....

really works. I cast some boolits the other night in a 2 cavity mold. I was water dropping and not really paying attention. After casting a bunch of them, I noticed that I had a lot of bases that had holes where the sprue plate had torn the base out and put a hole in the base of the boolit.

I reread the article Bruce B wrote on speed casting, and applied his techniques. This really made a difference. The sprues cut nicely and left the bases flat, and output doubled with nice boolits.
