I was given a CVA brass flask. It's the large one with a 30 gr tip. The valve is broken. It looks like the shaft of the valve corroded and it seized to the brass top. Are there any parts available anywhere to fix this? Looks like I might need another top. I don't think the valve is replaceable. Thanks!

I have found parts available years ago but kind of expensive. Also there where a lot of different makers in Italy that made them. If I rember right I could buy a new one just as cheep as the parts cost. Dixie gun works did have parts at one time.

I tried to get the same parts and decided it was best to buy a new flask.
Went with a different design that had a push rod with a hole thru the rod.
This design looked like it would last and with the CVA design does not have the bent spring that seems to fail after a few years.
The CVA flasks I had were over 20 years old and went bad while in a ammo can used to hold my Muzzle loading devices.
Good Luck finding the parts.

Thanks guys, after some more searching, I'm just going to buy another. I like bstone5s way of thinking.

The last ones of the above valve I bought were 3/8 24 threads so the flask may be able to be disassembled and the hole drilled out and tapped for the new valve.

try boiling the brass nozzle with a couple tablespoons of lemishine/citric acid.
first remove any steel.
