Every year I look forward to it.
This and high school softball.
These kids are playing, and having fun.
Sure they play to win, but they are having fun win or lose.
They play the game for the game.

I'm watching South Korea vs Mexico right now. South Korea is flying around the ball

Our home town girls placed 2nd. Watched all their games and a couple others. I would much rather watch them than any pro game. Our town had a parade for them yesterday. From what I saw there was quite the turn out. The whole town was following them. All the neighboring towns had fire trucks and ambulances in the parade. The support for them was great! All the local businesses helped to get the families out there for their kids. It was great to see the people come together. I believe one father quit his job so he could be there.

The girls looked so happy wearing their medals!

I enjoy watching it. A friend of mine coached a team for several years after he retired from pro baseball.

My grandparents lived in So. Williamsport (yes...the LLWS is in SOUTH Williamsport) Anyway....they were about 4 blocks from the fields. During the series all the streets get rerouted as one ways...so it made it tough to navigate So. Billsport when we'd visit. I used to go to the games all the time when I was a kid...I saw lots of baseball games not only in the main field where things are televised but also in the other surrounding fields (about 6 of them) where they'd have play off games. These are great childhood memories for me.
