Made an early trip to the range today and did some cleaning, burning garbage. I went to burn a spotting scope box and found the scope was still in it. This is an older mod Tasco 15-45X, straight tube with a rear & front sight mounted on top. It focuses by turning a right or left hand knob and a small gear (rack & pinion) moves the eyepiece in or out. The gear was broken so I replaced it with a piece of rubber tubing and now it works great.
Google didn't help and I haven't heard from Tasco. Anyone familiar with this old spotting scope? I know it isn't worth much but I was curios when it was made and the original retail value. Thanks

I paid $45 around 1990 and used it for quite a while. It came with a very flimsy tripod.

Thanks MT Gianni. That price is around what I figured, couldn't help being curios. Using a camera tripod for now till I get a decent one for the shooting bench.
