I have a nice Pedersoli roller, was originally a 30-30 that I had Jim Dubell rebore to 35 cal., 1:16 twist. I throated it pretty short, for the RCBS 200 gr. Bullet. Barrel has been polished properly and blued, wood refinished with poly, length of pull shortened to 13.5 inches, buttplate refit and reblued. Shoots really well with grease groove or paper patched boolits, and either smokeless or black powder. The only minus is it has a couple of scratches on the bottom of the buttstock and the barrel near the muzzle from falling over in the safe. And the neck is a bit bigger than I'd like, since I cut it with a normal 35 cal. necker, not thinking about how thin 30-30 brass is. Doesn't affect shooting but you do have to size the necks. I reload ammo with either 358 win dies or size with a 357 mag sizer and seat with the 358 seater. Includes a box of 50 cases to get you going. Asking $850 shipped to your FFL or less for local pickup. Any questions or pics just ask. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180817/18e8dd0b55e83111aff740fd955589c8.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180817/54abd84c3066a5287e2ea173fe9a945e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180817/dde6a90632eded3b91999ab0ebde7c44.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180817/430ab9d0c42d4b68a76c68bf8b972a18.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180817/48585ab6a37336ecf52488ad2e123c3b.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180817/0a0c6e95bbbab460797bcf7ad0b19cd6.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180817/d9917640a251e6f6f4d4e8ef4a350c62.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180817/bc9d53fa55a74eb4ecf9fd013f061e5c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180817/8eacd20acc6db29cc524bdab889d8035.jpg

Beautiful rifle, 26 inch barrel length ? Do you think 38-55 brass would give thicker necks ? Jim

Hey , Nobade,, beautiful rifle ,, I have a older Lyman DC mould # 358-315 ,, is this the mould you use for your rifle ?
What other rifles ( gun's ) will this mould be good for ?

coffee's ready ,, Hootmix .Hi, I'm not familiar with that mold, I usually use the RCBS 200, ranch dog 190, or a NOE 225 hp.

How is the trigger in this rifle? weight, grit, creep, travelNice. It's about 2# and crisp. I didn't feel the need to do anything to it, which surprised me.

so how big of a pain is it to make brass from 30 30, just run a .35 button in a ..357 die on the neck and load her up? LOad data?

Then neck size and load. Load data is practically identical to 35 rem. I limit it to factory 35 rem ballistics and haven't had any trouble. You can open the necks with the 358 win die since it's got a tapered button in it, but they're crooked. Fireforming works better.

Nice trigger pull, especially for a rolling block. I tried it when he had it at the range. If it had been a 38-55 it would have been mine.:-D
